Jury awards 0,000 to father of Sandy Hook victim in defamation case

A Wisconsin jury awarded Lenny Pozner $450,000 from James Fetzer, whose book claimed Noah’s death certificate was fake, after Pozner’s team proved Noah’s life and death with the sealed death certificate, pediatric records and DNA. The Post notes that Pozner founded the HONR Network to fight harassment of grieving families, that co-author Mike Palecek settled and apologized, and that the publisher had already stopped selling the book. Pozner said the award mattered less for the money than for the precedent, a warning to people who defame victims online that it “has consequences.”
